“Botanist” Vintage Scottish Navy Blue Chair

This lovely chair is an original from Glasgow furniture dealers B & E Strump (we couldn’t resist doing our research and discovered that they didn’t pay their taxes back in 1925, oh dear!).
 
It has been refurbished in an elegant dark blue professional quality mineral with protective varnish. The newly reupholstered seat features stunning luxury “Island Botanist” velvet fabric from Edinburgh-based Designer, Mairi Helena. Highlights to the centre panel of the chair and feet have been added with gold coloured metallic foil for that extra special finish. 
 
As a vintage item, it naturally shows small signs of aging, which only add to charm and authenticity. This piece is solid and structurally sound, and ready for a new home!
